Devotions For People Who Don’t Do Devotions – Sunday 3

Hebrews 12:28-29 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”

Congratulations! You’ve hung in there for at least 3 weeks – more if you haven’t  (yet) worked your way up to doing devotions every day. If you’ve done these according to the goals you set in weeks 1&2, you should starting to notice a change. Maybe the devotions are getting easier to read, or you’re understanding them better. Maybe they just don’t seem as much like a chore as they did 3 weeks ago. Maybe you’re already finding delight in them, drawing closer to God. Maybe they have sparked a little hunger in you, a curiosity to dig a little deeper. No matter what, stick to it – I promise you’ll never be sorry.

If you’re on schedule, today is Sunday. Be a part of the kingdom today – one that brings joy and love for Jesus & His body (the church). Carry that attitude with throughout the day – just don’t leave it in the pew when you leave church!

Pray that through the music, prayers and/or sermon, the Holy Spirit would send a message  that would speak directly to your heart.

By the way, I’d love to hear how you’re doing, your thoughts on the devotions so far. I’d love to pray for you and with you, that this ministry would bear good fruit in your life. Please send a comment below, or email me at pastorvogel01@att.net. Blessings!
